At the start of 2023, I took part in the #Dungeon23 project, creating a megadungeon by completing a room each day. After 13 weeks and 91 rooms, I was worried I would get behind with my freelance game design work so put the project on hold.
I’ve had a bit more time recently and wanted to get going again. Let’s see if I can make it through to the end of the year!
This new sewer map is directly to the east of the first map I drew back in Week 1. Next I plan to revisit that map and draw fill in some of the missing space, so it connects to this week’s map and the Hidden Hallways of the Gang Wars.
I’m not sure where to go after that so if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments!

Room Descriptions
92. Muddy footprints criss-cross the floor of this chamber between the west & east doors. “Beware Snapjaws!” is scrawled on the south wall in large black letters.
93. Wooden chest against north wall. This is Shifty, a mimic allied to the Dredger, who acts as a guardian. More muddy footprints between west & southeast doors, in both directions.
94. Two stinky goblins in filthy overalls & waders are sorting through a pile of junk they’ve found in the sewers. Items include: clay jug decorated with erotic art (no handles), rusty glaive, small keg of ale, 50’ rope, 10’ pole, green leather boot with leaf patterns, clockwork toy dragon (no key). The goblins are named Kebbi & Gnok and work for the Dredger.
95. Ilgu, a goblin sewer wizard, processes items found in the sewers here, cleaning them with prestidigitation, fixing them with mending, and using a wand of magic detection to sort the mundane from the magical. Ilgu doesn’t like to be disturbed while she’s working.
96. Storage room for weapons, armour & other mundane items found in the sewers by the Dredger’s goblins. Doors are locked (DC 15 to pick, DC 20 to force). Dozens of keys of all shapes & sizes hang on nails banged into the SW pillar. A giant-sized wagon wheel has been mounted on the east wall. 10% chance to find standard items worth 20 gp or less with 10 minutes searching the shelves, crates, and racks.
97. Sleeping quarters for a dozen goblins – bunk beds, table & chairs. There are usually 1d4 off duty goblins on here, sleeping or playing cards for low stakes at the table. Treasure: 87 cp, 68 sp, 3 gp, silver unicorn brooch (50 gp)
98. Office of The Dredger, a devious, grinning subek rogue who is not to be trusted. He offers a recovery service for items (and living creatures) lost in the sewers and has a decent success rate, thanks to a powerful crystal ball that allows him to find missing things more easily. Secret door behind the desk (DC 20 to find). Ledgers record items lost & found.
99. The Dredger’s Vault – holds valuable & not so valuable items found in the sewers in coffers & chests. Door is protected by alarm & arcane lock spells cast by Ilgu (area 95) – DC 25 to pick, DC 30 to force open. An iron cobra guards the loot inside. Treasure: 17 art objects (25 gp each), 5 art objects (250 gp each), small gold idol of Agni (500 gp), silver birdcage (300 gp), horseshoes of speed, pipes of the sewers, potion of water breathing.
100. Sewer crocodile stables. Home to the crocodiles used by the Dredger’s goblins as mounts. Rooms (a) & (b) hold one sleepy crocodile. Room (c) is empty – its former occupant Snapjaws is now a ghoul (see area 7)
101. Erekis, the Croc Keeper, a goblin with one arm, sleeps in his chamber of a simple cot. The room stinks from the barrel of rotting meat he uses to feed the crocodiles. Fortunately, Erekis has no sense of smell. Although it breaks his heart, he offers a reward of 100 gp to the PCs to kill Snapjaws (area 7).
102. Worn steps lead down into darkness. Nothing good comes up from below, so Ilgu (area 95) has cast an alarm spell on the stairs.
