This week I have a few exciting bits of game design news to share!
Firstly, the Labyrinth Kickstarter has launched. This is a big project that I worked on for Kobold Press over the past 10 months or so with Wolfgang Baur and Celeste Conowitch and I’m really proud of what we came up with. I’m especially thrilled that my own campaign setting, Parsantium, is now a core world in the Labyrinth!
You can download a free preview from Drivethrurpg featuring the Great Chantry of the Voidmother, one of the four main villainous factions, void angels, and void magic.

The Darklake Regatta, my tenth adventure to appear in Dungeons & Dragons Adventurer magazine has just been published. This encounter has the PCs competing against duergar rowers in a race across an Underdark lake and was a lot of fun to write.

I’m just about to start writing the adventure that will appear in issue 79, the penultimate issue of the magazine. I’ve really enjoyed working on D&D Adventurer and will miss writing for it.
Later this month, Dave Wright, Ian Hawthorne and I are going to meet up virtually to discuss the adventures we’re going to be writing for the Adventurer’s League to be run at UK Games Expo next year. We’ve got Murghôm at the eastern edge of Faerûn as our region and it has tons of potential for cool adventures….
If you’d like to keep up to date with my game design work and other posts, please do join my mailing list – there’s a sign up form on the home page and subscribers receive a free Parsantium supplement.

Backed it earlier today, was delighted to see your name prominently included in the contributors. Looking forward to it.
And also, on your Kobold Press work, third session of Lost Tomb of Nargoth about to start, hopefully get them into the tomb tonight and then one more session in the tomb itself. Or they could go wyvern hunting I suppose.

Cheers! Hope Nargoth goes well – wyvern hunting can be very lucrative!

I am enjoying the adventure, and it is really well laid out with plenty of information. We play weekday evening, typically getting 2.5hours per session.
Last night was session 3 and I have finally gotten them the entrance of the temple, after a night of being teased with the wyvern, and if Lambsbane was scary compared to Cowsbane. And they visited every farm, and considered rustling all the sheep. Using speak with animal abilities and combining minor illusion and thaumatology to trick ravens with fake carrion.
So at least a fourth session, if not a fifth to complete the temple expected now. But I am super excited to see how they try and handle the temple as there is interesting optionality in there you have written.
