Ten TTRPG Goals for 2026

This time last year I posted a list of Ten TTRPG Goals for 2025 and managed to complete eight out of ten which I’m very happy with! Here’s my (aspirational) list for 2026, including a few that I’m carrying over because they’re still relevant or I didn’t manage to do them.

  1. Do an excellent job on the exciting new Kobold Press project I’m working on, and any other freelance projects I’m involved in.
  1. Write Secrets of the Brightsmiths, the follow up to my AL module Trouble at Kobold Crown, and the second part of the Mountains of Copper trilogy. I really enjoyed being part of the Polyhedral Adventures design team and being involved in the three Murghôm adventures we wrote and ran last year at UK Game Expo and Tabletop Scotland.

  1. Write some more Lands of Parsantium blog posts or other new Parsantium material to expand the setting.

  1. Finish my fortnightly Pirate Borg campaign and run a series of Shadow of the Weird Wizard adventures for our Monday night group.
  1. Continue with my monthly Tomb of Annihilation game.
  1. Run another Vaesen adventure or something else for Kate. I loved playing a 1:1 game with her again in 2025.
  1. Play or run at least one new RPG. As well as Shadow of the Weird Wizard, I’m keen to try out The Wildsea, 13th Age 2nd Edition, Draw Steel, Liminal, and Shadowdark.

  1. Paint some minis. This was on my list for 2025 and I didn’t find the time.
  1. Sort out my collection. I need to sell or give away some of the games I’m never going to play/read to make space for new arrivals.

  1. Keep this blog going. I haven’t been posting as much since I ran out of past content to repost from Livejournal, but I’d like to post 1-2 times per month if I can.

Fingers crossed, I’ll get somewhere with most (if not all) of these! What’s on your list of gaming goals?
